Jim is an accomplished keyboard, piano, accordion, and concertina player. With his electronic keyboards, he is a band all-in-one.
He has a unique style and sound which he calls his New Tyme Music.
Jim has performed worldwide at several fairs, festivals and other
events. His music is aired on many radio stations across the United States as well as other countries.
He currently has six CDs available.
Jim composes several genres of instrumental and vocal music which include Celtic, European & Russian styles,
Cajun, polka, waltz, easy listening, Big Band, Polyphon, and music box melodies. Originally from California, Jim has been a resident of Minnesota for the past 30 years.
Jim studied under Myron Floren, of the Lawrence Welk Show, and Larry Malmberg, the original accordionist for the Whoopie
John Band. From 1974 to 1981 Jim was a session keyboard player for
RCA, Decca, and Capitol Records in Hollywood, CA which afforded him the opportunity to play with well-known bands.
Jim is a member of ASCAP as a composer and songwriter and has been featured in
Music & Dance News as well as various newspaper articles.
Veronica, Jim's wife, is the owner of Sandcastle Music, an ASCAP affiliated record producer and publisher. She records and produces all of
Jim's music. Veronica engineers the sound and visual effects during Jim's live performances. She also manages all the bookings.
